Informal KWA get-together during the Tata Steel chess tournament
Thanks to the efforts of our honarary member Jurgen Stigter, Jozias Hillenkamp of the Raindropchess company (www.raindropchessmedia.com) has offered to the KWA the meeting space in their chess shop La Baliza in Wijk aan Zee. This shop is only open during the tournament. There will a bar available for snacks and drinks as well.
On Saturday January 21st KWA members are invited to meet at 15:00 hours (3 PM) in La Baliza, Zwaanstraat 16-18, Wijk aan Zee.
Please note: Because of the necessary preparation Jozias Hillenkamp is asking how many members he can expect. Those of you who intend to join in La Baliza on Saturday afternoon, are hereby requested to inform Bob van de Velde latest by Wednesday January 18th:

Chess exhibition at Haltern am See (Germany)
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the chess club Königsspringer Haltern 1962 e.V. an exhibition of chess sets and ex libris will start at the above mentioned date in the Haltern public library. More detailed information on the exhibition will be communicated at a later date on www.buecherfreunde-haltern.de/ (homepage of the public library's support association).
