Unfortunately our friend Tim Harding now carried
out his "threat": the last "Chess Mail"– issue
82 – was published in January 2006, a nice magazine is lost for
us, what a pity.
Tim allowed us to put his farewell article on our website – I would
like to express my thanks to him for the numerous entertaining hours he
gave me (and surely others too) by his magazine. Certainly he will carry
on reporting to us about his chess historical research via the "Kibitzer"
and other publications. I personally hope his pessimistic view that printed
publications must come to an end will not come true all too soon.
