Dear
chess friends,
by a presentation of my own at the website of the Ken Whyld Association
I would like to give you from time to time a report on my "collection
of collectors". In the last years I enjoyed taking again and again
the opportunity to visit chess friends and collectors and to admire their
fine collections of chess literature and memorabilia. Suggestions emerged
frequently from them for the completion of my own collection and valuable
help with investigations. Additionally visits were paid to public libraries,
to exhibitions and events as well as to chess dealers which were sometimes
documented.
I will also present excerpts of my existing publications with chess historical
background, some "great chess feats" as well as my current exchange
and search lists.
Suggestions and comments are always welcome – please use the contact
form.
Michael Negele, September 2004.
You
will find an overview of my
expeditions etc. on the next page!
