Our member Gunnar
Finnlaugsson has briefly reported about his last visit to Iceland this
month. His main concern was a translation of the book Við skákborðið
í aldarfjórðung (see Publications
of our Members) into English. Gunnar is the project leader, there
is already a typed draft made by the late Björn Jóhannesson.
Most likely the jounalist Johannes Finnlaugsson will be involved as well.
It is their intention to publish a book on Ólafsson next year on
the occasion of the 75th birthday of the famous Icelandic grandmaster.
