This April we can only mention two birthday candidates from our large member list: we start with our Danish member Knud Lysdal, he could look back on six full decades on April 6th. The collector from Jutland has primarily visited the regional Nordic meetings and auctions, but has also been present in Brunswick now and then – here a photograph from the year 2007.

Bernd Schneider made his debut in our column 4 years ago, on April 10th he celebrated his birthday completing his 45th year. The widely known "IM-Makler" from Solingen and the soul of the company SchachSchneider is also listed at Wikipedia with a small page. On several occasions we could meet him personally, such as in Brunswick 2005, in Wijk 2008 or at the Lasker meeting in Wolfenbüttel 2009.
