We are pleased to welcome The Kórnik Library of the Polish Academy of Sciences (Biblioteka Kórnicka Polskiej Akademii Nauk) as a new (free) member of the Ken Whyld Association. The Kórnik Library is familiar to our members as the location (since 1955) of the famous chess collection of Tassilo von Heydebrand und der Lasa and as the venue of the International Conference of Chess Historians in September 2002 as well - the director of the library, Prof. Dr. hab. Stanisław Sierpowski, edited a book on this event in 2003 together with Prof. Vlastimil Fiala. As the representative of the library, Prof. Sierpowski will be listed by name as a member of the KWA. Die Kórnik-Bibliothek ist unseren Mitgliedern vertraut als Standort (seit 1955) der berühmten Sammlung von Tassilo von Heydebrand und der Lasa sowie als Veranstaltungsort der Internationalen Konferenz von Schachhistorikern im September 2002 - der Direktor der Bibliothek, Prof. Dr. hab. Stanisław Sierpowski, hat 2003 zusammen mit Prof. Vlastimil Fiala ein Buch über dieses Ereignis heraus-gegeben.
